This is without doubt the King of Jaspers.
It is called porcelain Jasper because of its glossy polish.
Due to its pattern it is in the family of Orbed Jaspers. From a genetic point of view it has been formed by transformation of an Opal nodule.
Mined since longtime in the Bruneau Canyon, Western Idaho. Today the mining is closed because all the area is now in a wildlife reserve and no more digging is allowed. All the rough on the market is from old collections or stock.
Cabochon cut in the shape of a rectangular cushion.
For collection or for jewelry.
